INFO → In collaboration with Czech Furniture designer Matej Chabera, Balance joints is a collection of modified wheels and joints that assemble with each other to create moving structures with controlled behaviour. Later on, we applied these principles to two pieces of furniture.
A small side table and a ladder. Its assemblies respond to basic unions through tension, friction, compression and (im) balance. Swing side table is there only when you need it. It will naturally fold uptight when not in use. Sling is a small household ladder in solid oak sewn together by a climbing sling. The more it is used, the stronger the joints get.
